چکیده

Background: This prospective comparative study aimed to evaluate the functional outcomes of bioabsorbable screws versus titanium interference for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using hamstring autograft. Methods: The included 30 patients who underwent ACL with a quadrupled graft; 15 were fixed and screws. followed up six months post-surgery. evaluated Lysholm score. data analyzed SPSS version 22.0. Results: There was no significant difference in between two groups at six-month follow-up. Conclusions: Our shows that there outcome whether or screw used. success depends on correct technique used surgery, precise placement graft rehabilitation methods than type fixation device used, neither nor

Metallic or bioabsorbable interference screw for graft fixation in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction?

BACKGROUND Approximately 100,000 anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions are performed in the USA each year. Interference screw fixation is considered the standard for rigid fixation of the graft and provides higher fixation strength compared with other devices such as staples or buttons. The present study summarizes the latest evidence comparing the effectiveness of the available clas...

Clinical Outcome of Anatomical Transportal Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Hamstring Tendon Autograft

Background: Good clinical outcome and return to sport and daily functions after anatomical arthroscopic anteriorcruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is goal standard in this surgery. but to date, there are different challengingissues between orthopedic surgeons regarding graft selection and surgical techniques. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the patients who underwent anatomical arthrosc...

A comparison of functional outcome between bioabsorbable interference screw and endobutton fixation on femur in arthroscopic anterior cruciate Ligament reconstruction

Introduction: Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament [ACL] reconstruction is very commonly done procedure in recent times {1}. The graft fixation methods vary from aperture fixation [Interference screws] to suspensory fixation methods [Endobutton]. This is a Prospective non randomised clinical study of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction comparing the functional results between aperture fixation a...

Morbidity following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using hamstring autograft.

INTRODUCTION As anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction becomes more frequently performed, the expectation of earlier return to activities becomes higher; hence graft selection becomes more important. The use of hamstring tendon autograft is perceived to have less postoperative morbidities. We evaluate the early postoperative complications in this prospective study. MATERIALS AND METH...

Bioabsorbable versus metallic interference screws in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: a systematic review of overlapping meta-analyses.

PURPOSE Multiple meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials have been conducted to compare clinical and functional outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using metallic interference screw (MIS) versus bioabsorbable interference screw (BIS) fixation, but discrepancies in their findings have prevented a consensus conclusion. The purposes of this study were (1) to conduc...
